Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are your classes heated or unheated?

Both! At Woven, we offer a mix of heated and unheated classes so you can choose what feels best for your body on any given day. Our heated classes are gently warmed to a cozy 85–90°F using radiant heat (think: sun on your skin, not a blow dryer in your face). Unheated classes are room temperature (70–75°F), perfect for folks who prefer to move without extra heat or are just easing into their practice. You’ll find the class temperature listed on our schedule, so you can pick your vibe.

2. What does “heated” mean at Woven?

“Heated” at Woven means warm and inviting, not scorching. We keep the studio around 85–90°F with radiant heat, which feels like a gentle sunbeam rather than a space heater. It helps your body ease into movement with less stiffness. And importantly: we don’t add humidity—so you won’t be dripping in a jungle-like studio. If the warmth ever feels like too much, you're always welcome to take a break, sip some water, or step outside. And the best part? Our chilled lavender towels at the end of a heated class are pure magic.

3. Do you offer pricing accommodations?

Yes, absolutely. We’re committed to making yoga as accessible as possible. If our regular pricing isn’t within reach, we offer a sliding scale membership option, as well as discounts for students and educators. Just drop us a line at hello@wovenyoga.co, and we’ll work with you to find something that fits.

4. When should I arrive for class?

We open the studio doors 10 minutes before class starts. That gives you time to check in, stash your belongings, roll out your mat, and grab any props you’d like to use. Arriving a bit early helps you settle in and ease into your practice without rushing. We do lock the door right at class start time to create a safe and distraction-free space for everyone inside, so try to give yourself a little buffer to get in and grounded before we begin.

5. Is there parking at the studio?

Yes! There’s plenty of free street parking available on Roosevelt and the nearby side streets. You should be able to find a spot without too much trouble.

6. Do I have to book in advance?

Not usually! Most of our regular classes are drop-in friendly. You’re welcome to walk in and we’ll get you signed up at the front desk. For special events, sound baths, and Fold classes, we recommend booking ahead—they’re popular and often fill up fast.

7. What if I’ve never done yoga before?

You’re in the right place. We welcome total beginners with open arms, and our classes are designed to be accessible to all experience levels. Our teachers offer modifications, variations, and support so you can move in a way that works for your unique body. Not sure where to start? Here’s a quick snapshot of our four signature class types:

🌀 Fold – Slow, still, and deeply restorative
🌿 Foundations – Gentle, supportive, and beginner-friendly
💧 Flow – Smooth, breath-led movement with room to explore
🔥 Flex – Strong, energizing, and power-packed

You can read more about each on our Class Types page, or ask us anytime—we love helping folks find the perfect first class.

8. What should I bring to class?

Bring your beautiful self, a water bottle to stay hydrated, and a yoga mat if you have one! If you don’t, no worries—we’ve got high-quality Manduka mats available to rent for just $3 (first class? It’s on us!). If you are taking one of our sweatier classes, you might want a towel, too. You can bring your own or rent one for $2 (also free for first-timers). Come as you are, we’ll help with the rest!
